AbeBooks.com, an online seller that features used titles, told
The Associated Press on Tuesday that he has received hundreds of
queries about the book's existence.
Miley Cyrus will pen her life story…
The 15 year old star of kids show Hannah Montana- has
signed a deal to write her first book. Disney- who also make her
TV show, film, albums and merchandise- will release her
autobiography in 2009. According to reports the book will focus
of Miley’s relationship with her mother and family. Christian
Cyrus said she wanted to: “motivate mothers and daughters to
build lifetimes of memories together and inspire kids around the
world to live their dreams."
Hobbit fans: It was almost Bingo Baggins
In his original manuscript for "The Fellowship of the
Ring," author J.R.R. Tolkien named his main character not Frodo
Baggins, but, according to Tolkien scholar Wayne Hammond, Bingo
Baggins. "I think we can all agree we're glad Tolkien made that
change," Hammond said dryly.
Mother's book beats literacy woes

Books Across Africa Improving Literacy in
Nakuru, Kenya Continuing their mission to spread
literacy across Africa, The Association of Maryland Africa
Societies, Inc. (AMAS) organization Books Across Africa,
recently returned from Nairobi, Kenya delivering books to Nakuru,
which is three hours outside Nairobi. The 10-day trip saw 25,000
books delivered to area schools and libraries.
East London boy publishes book A 10-year-old boy from
east London has paved the way for young authors by publishing
his first book online. Marvin Muoneke, from Beckton, was
inspired by his favorite writer Dr Seuss, to pen his debut book
"There Are No Such Things As Dragons".
